The Busselton Trade Training Centre idea was born out of the need to cater and professionally train students from six regional High Schools to give the students the opportunity to gain a qualification in a variety of skills before leaving school.
The consortium of six schools applied successfully for a grant for the construction of a new Trade Training Centre built on the grounds of Busselton Senior High School.
The six schools can access the Trade Training Centre to enable their students to complete Certificates in Building and Construction, Engineering in the newly built workshops and classrooms and Certificates in Hospitality, Retail and Work Preparation in the specifically designed Commercial Kitchen and Café.
The Trade Training Centre started operation in 2013 and has developed positive partnerships in the wider community.
The Trade Training Centre Café started operations at the beginning of 2014 with 2 schools delivering their programs and a third partner school commencing their program in 2015.
